The Rehearsal

This work started out as a final drawing for a painting of the Citizens Theatre however the project had to be abandoned as the theatre unexpectedly closed for several months. Subsequently the drawing was worked up into the finished piece shown here. The backdrop is New York, front of stage there is a suitcase and a spotlight. The rehearsal audience awaits the start of the performance. (see 'The Journey').
